my car's headlights just recently started to flicker. what i mean by that is it is almost looks like i flick my brights on and off. i got a new battery because it was bad hoping to solve the problem but it didn't. and i have a fairly new alternator. hope you can help.

 

it doesnt have anything to do with the battery or alternator because you would notice other things being faulty.. i would say check the wiring.. sounds like a loose connection or something... is it like a random flicker or does it seem to have a pattern?

 

it has a patern. every time i acellerate it starts to do it. but you can also feel it in the engine as well. it almost slips and then the lights flicker. and it happens almost every time i accelerate.

 

just got the alternator checked and thats not it

 

My old retired 92 EH2 did this for 6 years, never figured out the problem, never got worse.

maby i will check into it but i don't think it is.

6 YEARS!?!

 

i had the same problem. pull off tour fender there is a ground block, it looks like diagnostics access. It's not its what grounds everything from your headlights to your dimmer on your dash. just look for corrosion and tightness. clean it up and it should work
