Skunk2 Pro-C Installed....Need help figuring out unusual noise!
So I had this setup installed a few weeks ago. The whole setup performs great, but lately I've been hearing a not-so-normal noise from the front passenger side.
Now I'm no stranger to aftermarket suspensions and I'm well aware that the usual squeeks and added road noise are normal.....but this is something different.
When I go over small bumps such as slightly elevated patches in the road I hear what sounds like a small jarring-type noise from that corner of the vehicle. It's kind of like a popping noise like something is loose, but not quite. And it's isolated only to that part of the vehicle....the front passenger wheel area. It's very distinctive.
I've had the suspension checked and re-checked again. All of the coilover components....every piece....have been tightened down. So I'm at a loss as to trying to figure out what this noise is. It doesn't occur anywhere else in the vehicle. Just in that front passenger corner. Whenever I go over the small bumps on MY side it sounds very quiet and very solid....but on that side it sounds much more vibrant and "rattley" if that makes any sense.
I hope what I've described makes some sense and someone can help me out please. I've tried 8thcivic but nobody seems to give two ***** on that site cause nobody has responded to my post there.
Hopefully I can get some help here. Thanx guys!

No luck. I had a master tech take a look at it at my job....he said it's a rebound problem with the strut. He said it's extending too far after the small bumps and causing the popping noise.
Any ideas on how to solve this problem??

i had the same problem when going over speed bumps. my front sway bar endlink was all jacked up. the sway bar wasnt fit snug against the bushings because the long bolt holding everything together was bent.

Me and the tech came to that conclusion to....that the strut was bad.
But I've heard nothing but good things about Skunk2.
