I own a 97 Civic Hatch, I was thinking about buying a CTR wing, but I looked at a carbon fiber "spoon style" wing for my hatch. I need an opinion from you guys, I know you probably are going to say that is my car and I should buy what I like or whatever, but I want to know your opinions. I am undecided about which one to buy, the CTR or spoon style carbon fiber one. Also, I know stuff on ebay probably doesn't have good fit, but anyone has any experience with wings from ebay? I saw one from Seibon, so I guess that one should have a good fit. Any opinion is greatly appreciated.

Guys around here aren't going to be huge fans of wings. I personally don't like 'em just because they attract too much attention. I don't want to tell the cops I'm fast, I want to stay under the radar. That's just my opinion but to each his own.

Stay away from eBay stuff unless you know it's not a knock off.

If you really want to get a wing, go in to the Appearance/Cosmetic forum and look around there, you might be able to find some hatches with wings.

Any pics of your DAP hatch?

I have one myself and I am always curious what other people are doing with theirs.

 

i am not talking about a fast and furious type wing, I am talking about Spoon or CTR.

 

We know, but wings still stick out more than say a CF duck bill or just your stock one.

Well the spoon style is carbon fiber and the ctr was stock in other contries....

I like the ctr wing better

True...I was just assuming he had a stock USDM or CDM hatch since he's looking at upgrading it.

BTW dont be suprised if this thread gets kicked over to the cosmetic section. Just an FYI

 

Honda tech people are stupid...They think adding wings are rice...It all depends on which wing it is...personally, I'd go with the cf Spoon since its looks closer to stock but it angles with the roof better. CTR wings are good too but it looks better on 99-00 front civics..but spoon looks good both ways...

 

since it's a 97 i would go with the SPOON duckbill.
