Heavy rainfall could potentially cause problems if you're in it for a long period of time on the highway. Just be careful in heavy rains because the cars in front of you can sometimes kick up quite a bit of water that could potentially end up on your filter.

nicely put. i love how people keep saying you wont hydrolock unless you completely submerge your filter in water. WRONGGGGGGGGGG. the smallest things can cause hydro lock.

the filter is inside the bumper. it is encased from the bottom and the sides. if your that worried about it, get a injen hydroshield for the filter. they are like 20 bucks, they will repel water soak. unless you submerge the filter.

nothing wrong with a short ram either though.

The filter is protected by the splash guard and bumper...... I live in chicago and drove in a downpour on the highway for 130 miles and was fine.

cai has slightly more power. short ram is louder.

with the cai, the filter is placed inside the front bumper behind the drivers side wheel well and above the splash guard. ive never even been scared of mine and it rains all the time here. ****, FAY just skimmed over us!
