i recently rebuilt the engine in my car it is a d16, it runs good but doesnt have the power that it had before the rebuild. Sometimes it hesitates to take off from a dead stop, i think it could be a timing issue what do you guys think? it also has a really strong gas odor inside of the car any help is appreciated, thanks in advance

 

sounds like timing or a bad 02 sensor..any CELS?

 

Cam timing could be off. That would make it sluggish at the start.

 

No CELs pretty sure the cam timing is right... i have no idea what the problem is.. getting fed up with it.
