Default Theft prevention 101

I am sure that 99% of you on HT know about this, but for the 1% out there like me who just bought their R, here is a little tip that is very inexpensive and will help keep your R in your possession. I don't need to go into how easy it is to break into our cars, but this will prevent the easiest way to get in. For $9 you can go to your local Acura dealer and buy the RS door handle covers. As you will see (by the pics), it eliminates your power door lock switch from the inside. I even took a pic with the part number on it for you. If you know of any other tips like this, please post up for Noobies like me.
Thanks in advance!!!!
Before...

Part, and number

and after.. nice and clean...

Good call Chris I bought the car in Az, and it was tinted limo all the way around. So I had the tint from the driver and passenger side removed, and the legal tint (for Ca) put on.
*edit for Yellow Dragon as I can only post 5 times a day* You still CAN use the inside door locks, just manually.. Or if you have keyless entry, your set

Personally I like TypeRMSM's duct tape version. That way the locks can still be used from inside.

Yeah, I'm with Bustanutt... you guys that think that the lousy RS door handles will do it are kidding yourselves...

It's so simple to make your **** almost theft proof.. You could simply remove the ecu fuse.. add a custom kill switch, unplug certain harnesses, etc.. easy as that.. Thieves don't have all day to go over everything..

Guh...

Don't you people understand the "layering" theory of theft-prevention? Will the RS handle swap remove any possibility of your Integra getting stolen. No. Will it help deter the casual thief, who has realized that his most common method of breakage-free Integra entry has been removed? Yep.

Common sense, folks

Here are 2 more tips that you *need* to know.

1. Get a hoodlock
2. Make sure the parking light output on your alarm is fuesd or has a circuit breaker on the alarm for this output.

Since im a cheap ***, i just took out the silver switches and put in some black plastic from a black 3.5" computer disk. Looks very clean but passengers tend to want to poke the plastic, thinking its some kind of push switch . Disks are cheap but make sure you don't have any valueable data on em.

I'll have to look around for it. I remember that he basically removed the lever and made a flush mounted lever with grip tape (what's used on skateboards).

I taped mine down behind the new cover, just in case it decided to rattle.

See the grey connector to the left of the door handle opening? Tape that down on the back side of the door panel. All good in the hood...

after you replace the handle with the RS's, the wiring will have to be unplugged, leaving it behind the RS's handles. is that what you were asking for?

You could also chop a bit off the silver tab/sand it down so that it is flush just like a volume adjuster on a discman. Would work well and still have the use of your power door locks.
