Default 2000 civic ex fuel filter changing

i changed the fuel filter on my 00 civic ex yesterday. and the kit came with 3 copper washers. i know where the 2 bigger washer goes, but i do not know where the smaller washer goes because I did not see a small washer when i took the fuel filter out.

theres 2 screws, 1 screw on top of the other, I would guess, 1 under the fuel hose, 1 between the hose and the big screw and 1 between the big screw and the small screw.

that doesnt make since to me. heres how i put it. on top of the filter there is a big bolt. and a fuel line. i put 1 big washer under the line between the filter. and the other big washer between the line and the bolt. i tried to put the small washer on the bottom of the filter but the fuel line has a flare tube to the filter and the small washer will not fit. i do not know where the small washer goes.

Your good. Flare fittings dont use anything to seal them, The flare itself does it. On the line going to the fuel rail if you have a washer above and below the banjo fitting your'e good.

Other apps., just throw it in your tool box and save it for later. You never know when you may need one.

The two larger washers go on the line that feeds the fuel rail. The smaller washer is for the 12mm (i think) bolt ontop of the line that goes to the fuel rail.

The small washer he's talking about is maybe 10mm o.d. and 8mm i.d. There's nothing on the feed line that small. The line to the rail uses the same size washer as the line to the filter. The washer is for other applications. Alot of parts from parts retailers fit muliple applications so they can stock fewer skus. Take spark plugs for example. Do you think those plugs are made for your model car and engine only? "Pregapped", I dont think so.
