That sputtering is not the sound of a BOV and it sure as hell doesn't sound as cool as you think it does. It's the sound of you shelling out more cash for a new turbo AND a real BOV.
That's Compressor Surge and it's bad for your turbo.
Buy a real one that actually works properly like a TiAl.
