Default searched! an unanswered kswap question

ok so i cant find anywhere this info.

WHY WHY WHY do you need a fuel rpessure regulator and an aftermarket fuel rail when doing kswap on an ek.????

Because the 96-00 Civic fuel system is a feed and return style, while the K motor uses a constant pressure system (one way, no return line to the tank). You need a FPR to make sure the fuel pressure is set correctly at 40psi.
