im doing a B series 5 speed swap and this guy wants a new motor and tranny for his EF wagovan.. i have a 2000 auto civic D16Y7 and his is 91 auto.. can i just hook the whole motor and tranny into the EF? ill swap intake manifolds and dizzys for ease of install.. im in canada.. no emmisions or anything here.. will the tranny shift fine? custom mount the EK autoshifter in teh EF? give me some ideas if this will work..

I'd use his automatic transmission and your engine and just bolt it in using his old manifold, ecu and dizzy. basically, replace the engine only is the easiest solution. I think the auto shifters work either way (it's just a cable bolted to a lever) but the problem lies in the mounts, and it's not worth venturing into custom mounts.

oh ya .. its fwd.. not 4wd.. he has a 4wd but its not ready for restore.. teh fwd is mint.. will it make a diff cuz its fwd??
