Default car wont start (crx b16a)

i had a b16 swap done at a shop earlier this year and lately I've been having some trouble with my car, it has been fine for about 7 months but lately I've not been able to drive it. I have done everything as far as replacing the main relay and ignition module which i know are common things to cause a problem like I'm having but neither thing has fixed my car. The car turns over but isn't getting spark. I just want to be able to drive my car and it seems like trying to fix something that i didn't do in the first place is frustrating to say the least. I need to just know what you guys could suggest for me to get my car running again. If there is any information you can give me will be greatly appreciated. i don't have another distributor to swap on to test the distributor...

what ive replaced:
cap
rotor
main relay
ignition module
ignition coil checks out ok

put in ignition module today, ran fine for about 30 min and it putt putted then died and once again no spark or start. any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Derek

I would say its the coil in the Dizzy... What Cap did you buy? I had the same problem when I was running a OBD-0 Dizzy with a 00 Si cap. The coil would burn out, and melt the cap and coil... I converted to obd-1 using a GSR Dizzy, and never had a problem since...

see thats the thing, my distributor is my old crx one i believe, i think the shop used it, thats why im asking because everything ive read says nothing about reusing my distributor from my crx, but when i went to get a new cap and rotor the only ones that matched up were crx ones...so i guess what im asking is what could they have possibly done to reuse the distributor from my crx? i have my old d sitting in my grandpas shed and i looked at pics of it today and there is no distributor on it....so basically they did something with my old one and i think its on my b16 now...

im basically stuck....any more info will be much appreciated.

Thanks for the quick replys guys,
Derek

Do all 3 bolts on the Dizzy line up with the head? If not you need to find a obd-0 B16 dizzy... HMO sells them for 150 i think...

yeah it bolts straight up, i think its the insides of the d16 dizzy and the housing of a b16 dizzy, because the cap and rotor i bought was for a crx d16 fit fine, and the dizzy itself bolts up fine to my b16....im clueless...

thanks,
Derek

Yup, find a OBD-0 B16 Dizzy... If you were local, I would let you use mine....

I just replaced the ignition coil today. the car started up fine. It sat there and idled for 20-30 min with no problem. I shut it off and then would start it again, and everything was fine. the last time I started it, I let it idle for a few sec and then revved it up to about 5k and it died and it wont start again. It started this morning, before I even put the coil on. If it sits long enough, it will restart all the time. What the hell is going on with this car!!

i had a crank sensor on a different car cause these same symptoms. if all your wiring and grounds are good, i would buy a distributor. if you can find a cheap 90-92 integra one you can modify it to fit. mine has been fine for 2 years while i'm saving for the right distributor!
