Speakers stop working for a couple sec then turns back on. What could be the problem?
My system has never had a problem until yesterday. While i'm listening to music, all 4 speakers stop working at the same time, but my sub still bumps, then after a few seconds the speakers start to work again. At first, i thought it was the cd, but i'm sure it's not the cd's because the radio does the same thing too. This problem only seems to happen when i have the music up. So what could be the problem?
My setup:
Pioneer deh-p9200r Headunit
Infinity Kappa's all around
Pioneer 4 channel amp
JBL mono sub amp

i have no idea if that's the problem, but i'll check it out
anybody else have any idea on what the problem could be?

I'm not sure how your system is hooked up..
are the door speakers hooked up to the head units amp? or are you using 2 ch to run all 4 door speakers.. and bridged 2 ch to run your subs?
it could be a bad ground.... or other connection.. but its probably time to turn down your gains..could be the thermal protection kicking it... I hope its not clipping...
tell us how you have everything wired...

Let your car run with the system on, and watch the "overheat" lamp on your amp while it is playing. It did that all the time in my CRX and i figured it out after a while.
My 4 channel amp is powering up my 4 speakers.
So the problem could be my connections or my amp?

as long as you know they're not clipping out (you should know if that happens), it's almost ALWAYS going to be a bad ground/connection somewhere in the lines.
