Default Bad Front End Shake

I have a 2003 Honda Accord V6 6speed and when I really get into it the car shakes very badly once I hit about 4K and redline it. Its fine when cruising and stopping but during acceleration there is some bad shaking espesially in 2nd gear. It seems to have started after I installed my AEM v2 but all connections are secure there so im not sure what the hell is going on. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

it could be several things from a failing CV joint to a bad engine mount... have you been doing any hard launches with that new intake?

No hard launches. And its not a broken motor mount we already checked that. Right now im thinking its bent axles.

From what you describe, it sounds like a bad inner cv joint. It's a pain to isolate the bad axle, though, so good luck.

If you take it to a shop, they'll probably give you an estimate for both axles to save the headache of guessing the wrong axle.

Is there a way to tell which axles is the bad one?

You would need to remove BOTH inner cv joints for an inspection. Usually you will feel a groove on the surface of the inner joint, the part that the bearing "rides" on.

If the vehicle doesn't use an intermediate shaft (the '03 V6 uses one), you can swap inner cv joints and forget about the problem since you'll never notice the vibration in reverse (the bearings will now ride on the opposite side of the joint, the side that doesn't have the groove, when driving forward).

I had something similar, it was a bad inner cv joint. What I was experiencing was a real harsh front in shake when I would hit the brakes hard.
