comptech header... "comptech" plate facing wrong direction?
On my b18c swap I have a comptech header but I haven't seen any others like it. Every other header I've seen has the plate facing the passenger side of the car like this... my header pic is further down this page
My comptech writing faces the front of the car (so rotate the above plate in the picture counter clockwise 90* so the plate is wrapped around the primary rather than laying lengthwise with the piping). It has the stepped primaries and merge collector so it looks legit, maybe just an older design?
What gives???

I guess that's always possible... it's interesting to note that it put down 185whp with just bolt ons so it must be doing something right

I'm guessing the same thing (probably explains the hp numbers). You can check the header length to verify. Also, the race header hangs low, VERY low.
Most Comptech headers floating around were the normal ones, the race header was considerably different and, if I remember correctly, the Comptech logo was one difference. I can't be positive because it's probably been 4 or 5 years since I've seen one in person.

Yes, my header is no more than 3-4" off the ground. I can't lower the car very much because of this unfortunately (still have about 2 fingers between the top of the tire and fender)
I'll go take a pic since it seems to be something special, maybe

Went out and took pics... for reference I used a shitty can of beer in case anything were to happen to it
The tires are 195/55-15, that gives you an idea just how high the car really sits... if it weren't for the header it'd probably be sitting about 1.5-2" lower (or a tad above where the suspension starts to bind up)

After that it goes to a nice and $$$$ merge collector
**EDIT** I just bed in the new pads so I used landscaping rocks as tire chocks

The race header does not fit with the cat while the regular header does.
