1998 Prelude stalling???
I have a 98 lude, engine never been modified. I had the clutch, timing, water pump and all other belts changed. My problem is that sometimes when I come to a stop the car would die. I dont know whats going on so I changed the alternator but the problem is still there. Not all the time but just some of the time. Its still rides like new and I love the car.
Thanks ahead of time.

don't touch the tps unless there is a code and out of spec. spray your cap and wires down with water and put car under light load ie. try to go forward (use ebrake if you want). see if it dies.
It doesnt die, the car is good just sometimes it dies on me, i.e. when coming to a stop at a light or sign it would just die like it wasnt getting enough fuel or air. I havent had time to check it out yet but hopefully this weekend will be the one.
Don't have a pic, but it's a small-ish piece in the middle on the front of the intake manifold with an electrical connector and two rubber (coolant) lines going to it. I think it just has two bolts holding it on. Try cleaning that out and also check the idle adjusting screw on the throttle body and try opening it up a little. In fact, try unplugging your IACV once the car is warmed up and see if it dies.
Hi luder916
I had a similar experience with my lude,
It could be your ignition switch, that was the problem with mine.
You can test it by turning the key to start engine normally but let it go quickly as the key springs back almost helping it to cut out.
Usually if the ignition switch is good than the engine will not cut out.
I hope this helps and of course this may not be whats wrong.
Good luck!
