Installing sound system!!
I wanna install my sound system on my 94 accord lx but I have to drill a hole through my passenger side of the car into the hood to get through to the battery for power any suggestions where I can drill the hole?
and another thing is that My new stereo came with aux outputs but it only has the front output and rear output. the rear output has the sub out as well. so it says rear/sub audio output. I dont get it if I can just output the to the bass amp and the front to the voice amp, im confused need help....

For Question 1,
There are a couple holes already in there, one that comes to mind is the one for fog lights, comes out below the throttle body area and has a black plastic plug, from the inside it's to the right of the center console and to the left of the ECU area.
Should be plenty big for a amp power cable.
The 2nd question you'll need to talk to audio guys.

that will work fine but I'm sure theres a better set-up.
front outputs with amp for highs and rear outputs with amp for a sub
thats what I'm doing!
but then again I have an old school Rockford punch that has a crossover card and its set for low pass for full bass!
also when its like that Rear\Sub output sometimes it has an option at the controls to set as regular speaker or sub

lol. don't drill into your hood.
and you can always daisy chain amps pending the outputs and inputs, but why do it if you have the out puts on the head unit.
if you have a set out pre outs for the front speakers and subs, then use the front pre outs JUST for the front, and sub pre out for the subs. If you daisy chain, you loose the ability to fine tune easier, and you might even blow a speaker or sub.
Make sure you know what you're doing with the wiring, don't burn down your car or blow expensive componets because you don't know what you're doing. Make sure all your connections are tight, and anything put thru the firewall is grommeted.
When you tune, you want to set the freq to LOW only i'd say about 125 hz max for the subs, and then whatever you think sounds good for the front. I usually turn my bass for the front speakers to 0 and treble to 2 or 3, and then tune the amps for maximum effeicenty out of my tweeters and subs. My Rear speakers are set different from my fronts, to insure that i get a full surround sound going. Good luck, ask any more questions if you need.

what fog lght driver side or passenger? because my battery is located on the side of the passenger. the plug comes out through the bottom or through the hood?
What are you talking about with the hood?
The ECU is on the passenger side. The plug is right next to it, run the cable from the battery along the side of the strut tower and it'll go almost straight to it

I ended up drilling a hole on the passenger side firewall because I couldnt find any plugs that werent on the drivers side and the battery is on the pass. You want to use as little power cable as possible for less resistance, dont use an extra 5-6 feet to cross from the drivers side. Just drill above where the carpets ends on the firewall and make sure to use a firewall bushing or a grommet to ensure the metal doesnt cut into the wire and cause a short.
Are you are u sure theyre audio outputs not inputs in the front?

I used a few extra feet. I doubt it was 5-6 probably more like 3' or so and it did just fine. It was pretty quick and easy too. On my truck the battery is on the drivers side so it goes in on the drivers side. On the Honda it was the other way around. Works fine though. I then ran the RCA's down the passenger side.
I finally got it guys thanx for the advice I found a plug through the car from the alarm going inside the car under the steering wheel. but u guys think 15 foot wire is long enough from the trunk to the battery?
