GSR Brake Lights Stuck On
Not sure why this happened, but now my brake lights (not the one in the dash, the actual brake lights!) are stuck on. I looked in my trunk and couldn't find any shorts. There was water in my spare tire well, but i think that was there before i was having problems. Has anyone had this problem before? Any ideas on how to fix?
Any assistance is greatly appreciated!!!

have you found a crayon tip on your carpet near the brake pedal? that's usually the tell tale sign. there are one of 2 issues.
1. the sd crayon tip fell out, either put the tip in and see if it sits in place or use a small bolt/nut to take it's place on the brake pedal where there is a contact switch.
2. to test the contact switch (have a second person look or back up against the wall/garage door to see the reflection) press the small button and see if the lights go out/off.
when the pedal goes down, the switch is no longer being pressed and grounds out the current to the brake lights out back. if the switch fails (rarely happens) or if the contact point that closes the connection is no longer there the lights will remain on.
the worst part is accessing the pedal, either get on your back on the seat bottom and look up in the dash (feet over the headrest (i'm tall it stinks))
