Default HMT dohc zc or z6???

I have a homemadeturbo set up including an ihi turbo off an early ford probe (10 bucks no shaft play), dsm 450s, srt 4 intercooler, hd mani, dsm bov,eg half sized rad, srp boost controller, autometer boost gauge, 2.25 piping, all for 175. Its pretty much a complete kit to have a lil bit of fun, got every thing to make it work besides my walbro fuel pump and oil lines. all for under 200 bucks! But i was wondering what do you guys think i should do. I have a 90 ef hatch with a stock jdm dohc zc in it right now with a chipped pm6. Should i boost this motor, or get a z6 or mini me (wat ever i can find cheapest) and boost that?? I plan on keeping what ever motor i boost stock since im going to be using a small turbo at maximum 10psi. BTW i have a local turbo edit tuner

dude, i don't have a ZC or turbo or even a swap. but i would say if the ZC runs well and you feel confident that it can take the boost. go for it. or if you want to boost a d15b2 that runs better than a greased up pig, let me know maybe we can figure some type of trade or something

Yeah I've heard the ZC's like boost better than a standard SOHC block. And twin cam is usually better than single, all other things being equal, as far as power output goes. They make cams for the ZC's too. Boost the ZC! Oh BTW, PM me if you know someone that makes the downpipe flange for that turbo. I am making a HMT kit for someone right now and no one can get that flange.

yea im pretty sure the zc can handle boost better too. plus ive beat several sohc vtec civics and other f22 accords and even a ls dc2 =0 (at a 40 roll). Seems like this zc should get down on 10psi.
