Default Obx lsd install into M2A4 problems

Hey i'm installing an obx lsd into my m2a4 tranny and im having a couple problems. The lsd itself seems to fit fine, with new oem bearings and races with the stock shims. But when I assemble the case halves, there is a little gap. If I do torque the case bolts, the mainshaft is pretty much stuck. You can rotate it a tiny bit before it binds but it turns very hard. I assume I am assembling the halves wrong? Here is a picture of the gap and the piece on the top of the mainshaft that I may have in the wrong position.

Trans looks ok..... make sure you jiggle your shift forks around, they get stuck pretty easily when trying to re-align them into their bearings, causing the cases not to come together properly.

Also, try putting the mainshaft bearing on top of the main shaft, and drop the case over it, rather than putting the mainshaft bearing in the case and attempting to align it over the shaft, this might be easier.

My guess is that your problem is either the main shaft bearing or the shift forks.... take your time and be patient, it'll drop.

Yeah the shift forks get stuck sometimes getting the case on but they are in place and the snap ring on the bearing is in. Could it be the nipple thing in the middle of the mainshaft bearing that goes into the mainshaft? Is there an easy way to remove the mainshaft bearing to try it that way?

Yeah I followed that thread and inspected this lsd when I got it and it was already set up just like that. Ive assembled it to the point that the mainshaft spins nice until I torque the case bolts. I guess I can try and assemble it without the shim but I dont think thats the problem.
