Default Cam plug/ "seal" question

im installing a new cam plug since the old one started to leak and i just wanted to know do i have to put any hondabond on the cam plug and if i do would i just put some around the o-ring area of the plug

Hondabond is recommended at the two seams where the cap meets the head, but I always put a thin bead around the whole thing just for good measure.

just curious, did you buy an oem cam plug from the dealership or you went aftermarket?

If it's an aftermarket one, just coat the o-rings in a light swab of oil and install. You only have to Hondabond the OEM plastic ones.
