Hello guys,

I have struggled with my tranny for a long time - it was rebuild twice, and still is jerking when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear.

I was trying to trade in the car for something newer, but offers for trade in were just silly so I'm looking for used tranny now and need your opinion on that.

I found this guy (maybe user from here - who knows)

He wants 400$ for tranny only with 40.000 miles on it (possible or not?)

Is it worth the risk? What are appx. mechanical costs of tranny swap?
