Default Help 94 integra gsr rev limit

I was under the impression that the rev limit was at 8k in the gsr. However i went to test drive one and at about 7300 to 7400 it felt like a rev limiter kicked in. Im looking at buying this car tommorrow. What could be causing this? Is the limit lower than the tach shows or what?

Also vtech felt like it kicked in at 5k or so it that right?

not a GSR. Rev limit would be 8200. VTEC engages at 4400rpms. The secondary runners open up at 5900 if I remember correctly,

I don't recall the LS motor rev limits. I wanna believe it was 6500rpms was the redline, not positive though. And not all GSRs have leather seats, mine didn't have them and I have a 96. Leather seats were an option on those cars when it was launched.

B18b1 is the LS. So you bought it thinking it was a gsr? Stock gsr v-tec engages st 4400 and fuel cutoff is at 8100. The v-tec crossover is smooth so you wont be able to hear it.

Hopefully you did not buy this. I would have also called Carfax and reported the engine swap.
