Default oil pan help...

will a p72 oil pan(gsr oil pan) fit on my b18a1??

Part numbers are different but the oil pan gaskets are the same. So it will bolt up it just might be a different size. For future refrence http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org

it will fit, but it wont be accurate when checking your oil.

GSR oil pans are deeper to accommodate the girdle and longer oil pickup. LS oil pans aren't as deep.

Would the oil pickup still work okay then, because if it's deeper then the top of the oil will sit lower, if the same amount of oil is used. Seems like it would be easier to starve the pickup.

well just a question cause i have an ls vtec but where the drain plug goes is stripped out and i have access to a gsr oil pan so just wondering if it would work but it doesnt really sound like its recommended
