i was trying to add tranny fluid to my tranny but i accidentally used the wrong wrench and ended up stripping the filler bolt!!! i tried to use a wrench but it keeps stripping it....how can i get the bolt off?? im about to go to autozone real quick and buy me another bolt....but i need to fill up the tranny today, it has a leak and i can tell by how hard it is to put it in gear that the fluid level is low

 

Try using some vice grips... Always works for me

 

get the striped bolt kit irvan's i think its called and a new bolt before u try to put it in. Or u could take it to a quick lube in the morning they will know what to do.

 

try taking a 12 point wrench 1 size sma;ller than the original bolt size and hammer it onto the bolt thats what i do at work when i run into stripped oil drain plugs or get the stripped bolt kit as just hatched had mentioned

 

heres an update.........I [freak]ED UP....well i decided to just take off the vss and fill the tranny that way....so i did....then when i tried to put the mechanical piece in, it kinda go stuck, so i forced it in, and it wouldnt go in all the way...i tried to take it out but it wouldnt come out...so i got a lil hammer and tried to hit it in, and it started going in slanted....i messed with it for about 30 mins....until i gave up and screwed the top part onto it and left it like that....ill get a new one 2morro but how am i going to get the old one out??
