just replaced head and i have a miss
b18b1 94 ls i have a miss in one of my cylinders and it is keeping my motor from revving above 5500 rpm does anyone know what is the most likely thing that could be causeing it
Do you have an engine code to go with that miss? That would lead you to what cylinder it is in.
Are the valves adjusted properly?
Ignition timing?
Cams set correctly?

Perform a compression test just to make sure that valve train, etc. is performing as desired. Pull the spark plugs nd inspect them. Are they all the same in appearance?
the plugs all look the same to me as for the valves i have them adjusted to the smallest tollerence rocomend by the manifacture
I would run the compression test just to be certain. Have you set the ignition timing with a light?
The next step is to look at the distributor.

i had put a mark on the main cap for the cam and the top lobe of the distributer to make sure i put ignition timeing back also what part of the distributer would cause it to miss on just the occasional time not every single time that cylinder fires
