Default honda 2005 s2000 limitor switch possible problem?

what is the set point on a s2000 limitor switch 5200 rpm? or?

what is wrong if at times on a cold motor the limitor switch allows the engine to go to 8000 rpm. the switch or a computer glitch?

Was there a recall on this years (2005) model limitor switch.

engine rev limiter?

it's all programed into the ECM, there's no physical switch you can hit.(it a mix of output signal of oil pressure, temp, etc)

on a ice cold motor you shouldn't go into vtec, so it's somewhere shy of 6000 rpm, you know you hit the limiter once you hit it, because it felt like you just hit a invisible wall

2005 S2000 Redines at 8000 RPM.

If your engine is not warmed up, it won't let you engage the secondary runners, 5200 RPM.

No recall.

i think then his question is what would cause a cold motor to not be limited to 5200rpms.
