ok so i have a 96 teg with a ls vtec and i recently got pulled over by high way pigtroll and they made me pop my hood so they sent me to the referee and now i gotta make my **** pass smog....................ok so i noticed that my exhaust was poping a lot but didnt think much of it until i got a CEL and when i took it to smog they tell me that cylinders 2 and 4 are misfiring and that its an electrical prob.......here are the parts ive changed if you have any idea what it might be please help me out...................... spark plugs, cables, coil, rotor, computer, the cap is a month old but i havent changed that cuz im just gonna buy a msd system so if you know HELP !!!!!!!!

 

i actually have an ls vtec my self hey i have a quick question how does your car drive in between 1 and 3 thousand rpm

 

i wouldnt say it was an eletrical prob i would look into a compression check and check the timing one cylinder might not have enough compression to contribute to a smooth running engine i would also run some injector cleaner through the fuel system check all the wires around the injectors clean the injectors.find out if its fuel or spark.hope this helps
