ok ive searched an cannot seem to find anything on this so here goes!
i have a 1990 ancura integra that when i turn the key on the fuel pump dosent engage but the car turns over an gets spark jus no sign of the fuel pump kicking on!

does anyone know what might cause this problem???

Most likely the main fuel relay is bad.
Common issue on DAs, EFs and early EGs too.

Bout 70 bones from the dealer.

 

dose the check engine light flash when you trun on the car it should turn on with the fuel pump and tune off with the fuel pump?

 

i thought it might be the fuel relay but wasnt sure.

an yes the check engine light comes on when i turn the key then it shuts off like it should be the fuel pump dosent kick on

Most likely the main relay, had the same problem in my EJ1, Swapped the Main relay and now it works fine. Maybe try to use a buddys relay or get one from the junkyard and see what happens.

 

ok cause i jus changed the fuel relay an nothing happened so i must be the main relay!!!

 

i changed the main relay today an it started right up!!! thanks guys for all the help
