Default 92 CX Fuel Pump quits when car warms up, please help

I just bought another 1992 Civic CX that wasn't running. I have a 1993 CX that is a daily driver, so I can swap parts to help diagnose the problem. The car starts and runs fine for a couple of minutes and then the fuel pump shuts off. When it quits, it will not restart for a while, like 12 hours or so. I have no idea what it could be, but here are a few of the things that it is NOT : Fuel pump, main relay, distributor, almost every other relay, compression, injectors, ecu, ignition switch. My guess is a loose wire, or ground somewhere, but I thought there is an outside chance that it could be a common problem. Any suggestion or help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!!

Check the main relay by fuse box. Quits on a lot of people during the summer heat.

I think I'm going to have to trace the wires from the switch all the way to the fuel pump. I have a Haynes and a Helms manual, I'll have to dig through some wiring diagrams. I appreciate the help, this is by far the best Honda board on the net. THANKS!!

I read this post last night because I was having the same issues. I went down the list of things it could possibly be and with some other research decided to replace the main relay. And wouldnt you know it problem solved...for now I guess. My car even runs better than it did before. I have about 280k miles on the chasis (its swapped with a B16A) and it was the original relay from what I can tell.

I was told by multiple parts stores that its a dealer item so I paid more than I wanted to but it fixed my car. Do yourself a favor and just replace the relay.

Yah it really was. I forgot to reset the ECU but I can already notice that the car revs up slightly smoother and I have an overall better feel when driving the car. I might be imagining it but hey, Im enjoying it! LOL

Seriously it does feel like the car is running smoother.
