I have a 2002 Honda Accord automatic and I just wanted to compare my gas mileage with you other 2001/2 Accord automatic people. I get about 200 city miles with a full tank of gas. I do not floor it. I try to drive conservatively. Is 200 miles normal?

 

you should be getting at least 21 mpg in city driving. I have a 94 2 dr coupe and get 25 around town and 31 on the hwy

400 miles to Chicago on 12 gallons of gas

 

to get anything worth comparing you really need to make an accurate calculation. Set your trip meter at fillup and next time you fill up note the number of miles and gallons you put in. Divide and get an accurate MPG number. In my new accord the fuel light goes on with close to 3 gallons left in the tank.

My first tank with mostly stop and go driving averaged 21.4 mpg

 

I get about 12 mpg.

 

Something is really really wrong with your car, My mom's got a v-6 Accord and she gets around 400 miles to the tank, she does drive more on the "normal" side of things...
