Default Is the alarm upgrade worth the money?

Jut bought a 2009 Accord Coupe LX-S. Came with a standard security system. For an extra $600 I can get a chip put in that give the security system additional features like glass breakage sensors. Is this a worthwhile expense?

The Honda alarm is always worth it for the right price. It's so easy to install too.

That's just money for the dealer. It's their bread and butter. If anything, I'd want a discount since thay tapped into my factory wiring.

How much do you think it's worth? It sounds like it's already installed because the neighborhood they are in has a lot of theft. They took a chip out when I decline to pay the $600... it's a matter of paying them to put it back in. All it seems to add is an impact and glass breakage sensor.

It's a made in china module that cost the dealer $30 or so. They paid their alarm tech $20 or less to install it, so a 100% markup would put it at $100. There. $100 sounds about right.
