Anyways i really need to replace the climate control (with ac) in my 90 CRX i know they are rare and everywhere i look they are like at least 200 bucks! so my question is are there any other Climate controls that are interchangable without any major rewiring? something easier to find...
I really need this part but dont have 200 bucks to drop on it right now..

Please any guidance to this would be wonderful thank you in advance

In the FAQ there is a post on how to install a teggy one. I would say those are alittle cheaper!

Found a 92-95 civic climate control conversion on e-bay for $99 comes with a PnP harness and looks good

If you do not mind the looks then you can use the ones from a ef hatch. THey are manual. TO install all you do is swap one arm on the heater box and fan box. And all works.

 

Some options:
1. Do you have the old one and if so, what is its problem? Depending, consider re-soldering per http://honda.lioness.googlepag...oning

2. Check all local junkyards, both u-pull and not u-pull. Many junkyards will tell you over the phone whether they have 88-91 CRXs.

3. Online junkyards have searchable inventories or you can shoot them an email and they are good about getting back to you.

For junkyards, see for example http://albuquerque.upullandpay.com/PriceGuide.aspx . They want under $30 for your part.

I bought a junkyard heater control unit (exact match) for my 93 Civic for around $15 the other month. I used bkhondaparts.com to look up the part number for my 93 Civic's unit. Then I put the part number in at the top and found all models with the same unit.

I just thought of something. Find the actual part number for that control unit. Then ask or find out if there are any other cars that honda makes that match that. For example the Honda Accord Wagon calipers (part number) is the same as the ITR calipers. Part numbers are the same. Just a little food for thought. So you don't have to specifically look for a CRX climate control only.
