Default Ratio Question? Need Answerd ASAP!

alright, bodywork. Check. primer. check. wet-sand. check. i jus finished taping off my car. and its ready to paint. im just being cautious. seeing that there are some paint experts on here i just wanna know:

is 8:4:1 (Finish:Reducer:Hardener) the proper ratio or no?. just wondering. also i am posting pics up after the job is completed.

im whippin round' a 97' accord lx. and i want this biotch to look nice.

fyi, i do paint for a living, but automotive wise this is a first. so i have the sprayin techniques down pat. jus bein cautious on the ratio.

also. i am repainting it the same color, how many coats should it take? there are only 2 spots that needed primed. the other spots the clear was peeling and i jus feathered edged it.

finally, any suggestions or expert tips on anything i left out would be nice too.

EDIT: i also wanta know if it is safe to paint my rims with the tires on them (ill obvioulsy tape them off and all that.)

The ratio depends on the product.

Just follow the tech data sheets on the exact product line. You should have inquired about the mix info when you bought the paint. Suppliers usually will provide the data sheets on request.

Generally: Dupont and PPG base typically is 1:1, BASF RM base is 2:1 base/reducer

You can paint the rims with the tires mounted. Depends on the lip edge, sometimes you need to deflate and break the bead to get at the edge. I've done plenty of rims without removing the tires. There are pro's of doing this way, don't always have to balance again, don't have to worry about tire machine or balance machine ruining the fresh paint. You can't always get away without a re-balance after paint. If you repair the wheel, ect the weight could be thrown off balance.

Here is a pic for reference.
