just like a little L.E.D or something, yeah, that would be nice. and you could just hide it somewhere in your dash instead of on top like those big ones

if theres a cheap and easy way to do that, i think i might try it. ill add it to my list of things to try, i think the next thing is a teg center console

cant find the site with the circuit on it. But it wont cost more then 20 bucks. you can alwys but a rpm activated switch and run a LED off that. thats prolly then best way.

You can do it for about 3 bucks if you make you own RPM activated switch . it should be easy to find a sceatic for that on the net

hey $3, i like the sound of this.

89 CRX Si, you wouldn't happen to have more detailed instructions, would you?

the main question i have, is with the RPM activated switch, how do you set it to the RPM you want, all you'd need though is the switch running from the LED to the blue wire on the dizzy or off the tach in your cluster if u have one(i do), and a ground for the LED, right??

89 CRX - good idea, i never even though of that, this may turn out to be a fun project. might do it this weekend if i get that switch

wel a rpm activated switch uses so called pills to activate the switch at a given RPM. most switches will come with 10 or so pills. these pills are basically little resistors that plug in the saide changing the kick in point.

product would say:

RPM ACTIVATED SWITCH 5000 rpm-7000 rpm

and you would have pills that read on them 5000rpm - 5200 rpm and it would flip the switch to run what ever between those rpm's. GET it?

ill find the scematic for making the actual rpm activated switch later. its simple only requires about 1$ in parts and 1$ in solder and 1 $ in a Circuit board
