Uh.....Rod bearings.....when you check them, they shouldn't overlap right! :-O
Well, for those of you who don't know my engine had developed rod knock and I got it replaced with a JDM but, I kept the core and have opened it up to rebuild to something stupid.
N-E-Way, I got to the rod bearings today and they were all shot but the ones in 4 had started to overlap and were about as thick as a piece of paper. AND the crank is unharmed!!! I will see if I cannot get some pictures tomorrow.

the bearings should not over lap at all, all they should do is, that the halves meet up an make a whole circle..
you probaly spun a bearing becase of to many miles on the motor, or to tight of clearances..

OH no, I know I spin the bearing........the bearings were also paper thin and frayed.
I already have the replacement engine in the car. This is just a fun post of a spun bearing.
EDIT: and they didn't really overlap.....the split down the middle and crossed together.

i've pulled apart a couple of b-series motors and the bearings were melted together, but didn't even mark the crank. paper thin and pieces just melted to the crank weights oh well it wasn't my motor...
Yeah, the crank got a few very light nicks, and the rod....well, let's just say it's a little more rounded then stock
