Default looking at on '03 honda accord coupe 4cyl vtec- thoughts?

hey folks,

i am looking at buying this car from a private seller:

VIN # 1HGCM71693A027131 for an '03 accord ex coupe 91k miles
4 cyl vtec manual

taking it to a honda mechanic tomorrow for a pre-sale inspection. kbb lists it as worth btwn 9.8-10.5k, so if the inspection checks out, i am thinking of offering 10k.

any folks have any thoughts about this car? thanks.

10k for 91k miles?

uh I bought 06 coupe lx 4cyl 2.4 vtec manual with 15k miles for $19k. Granted I'm really good with haggling but buddy you should really try to offer around 6 or 7k. 2003, that's an old car.

really? that low? i got an estimate of about 9.7k-10.5k from kelly blue book.

http://www.kbb.com/KBB/UsedCar...tions=

maybe i'll offer 8-9k. i just thought i'd offer kbb value, minus any possible future repairs if needed that honda detects during the pre-sale inspection. how important is location in determining price? i'm in chapel hill, nc and there are lots of folks around here who buy hondas, so the guy won't have a problem finding a buyer.

any haggling tips you can offer me?

10k wow dude thats too much. You should be only paying around 9.5k for it. I bought my 03 Accord Sedan with 67k for 9k.
