Just got a 97 SS...with 112k....got plenty of ???
Just brought a 97 Prelude SS with 112k.....got it cheap
Here's some issues with the car:
1. Found oil in spark plug area.....sign of bad v. cover gasket?
2. See oil coming out of on the side of the distributor cap area...or some where around it....how many seal(s) do I need so I can pick it up at once from Honda??
3. EGR might be clogged....what's the best method to clean it out??
4. SS seems to shift without any problem....tranny fluid is full and color is red and looked clean....should I drain and fill it with 3 new ATF from Honda? My mechanic said with the milages.....leave the current fluid......is this a good idea?
5. Noise from the rear shocks......bad bushing??
Otherwise, car run great....got AC
Thanks in advance.

3) if it aint broke dont fix it...leave the tranny fluid
4) what kind of sound... a thud everytime you hit a bump or more of a squeak?

Ignore what's in the previous post. Lots of wrong information.
1. You just need to replace the spark plug gaskets in the valve cover. #4 http://www.hondaautomotivepart...COVER
2. Could either be the distributor o-ring or the the cam plug that's at the end of the intake cam. Both are easy to replace. #8 is the cam plug http://www.hondaautomotivepart...+HEAD
3. https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=2016969 , look for my post at the bottom of that page.
4. If it's still red, it's most likely fresh fluid. Make sure the level is ok.
5. Is it a clunking/knocking sound? http://members.shaw.ca/FifthGe...k.gif . The collar can be replaced in 2min with the shocks in the vehicle. Remove the nut on top of the shock, pull off the top bushing, pull out old collar, install new one.
