Default sub install

ive installed systems before. but not on a stock deck. i have an 07 accord. i wanna put my subs in but keep my stock deck for the steering wheel controls and cd changer. is there a write up on how to do it>

I can't help you. Just be SURE you know what you are doing. That audio unit costs well over $1,000 to replace and it is very sensitive to abnormal voltages. If you do it, make sure you do it right.

would a high voltage input equipped amp, a wire or two run from the rear speakers to the high voltage input on the amp, and your subs work?

I have seen a friends car done like this, but I can't say I have ever done it myself.

I would be worried about the stock headunit, since I just found out it cost over 1000 to replace!!!!

i got a system installed in my car and kept the stock deck as well, what the guy did is tap the speakers with this device. I guess he got the audio to go from the headunit to the device and then to the speakers. The sub lines came from where the speaker lines came out of as well, but ran those lines to the back of the car. The brand of the device was called Absolute Audio, or something like that.
