right and wrong

dealers do not sell the cam caps as they are for the specific head they come on

although i have heard of a couple people using caps from another head and having luck

 

i need these for my b18c1 because my car was robbed of its camshafts while it was sitting in a tow yard.

 

buy new ones or get one from junk yard, and get them machine to fit your cam!

 

The only way to get them from Honda is as a complete head assembly. They are machined as a set for camshaft clearance, and unlikely to fit properly on another head. Good luck

have the tow yard buy you a new head? because its a risk using ones from another head, because they are machined to fit the head.

okay so my buddy has a set of cam caps from his old b18c1 head but I'm afraid to use them because of the whole camshaft clearance thing. How can I use these cam caps? Will I have to bring it to a machine shop and have them aligned honed/bored?

 

i would have the place pay for a new head for you, as anytime you bore/hone the cam journals it is taking chances i dont think you would want to take
