In my 97 civic, when i turn on the AC to stage 1 and 2 it seems like it doesnt work...but when i turn on to stage 3 and 4 it works and blows cold air but makes a sound like something is spinning and hitting something on the lower passenger side. Any ideas guys?

some thing spinning and hitting, is a leaf stuck in the squirrl cage of the blower, remove the blower, clean the wheel, clean int he box it was installed into in the car. if speeds 1 and 2 u mean there is no airflow coming out, get a new blower resister.

 

Where is the blower resister located?
