I socketed a p28 ecu and installed hondata s300 all by the book and socket tested good. The p28 was a good running ecu from the b18c car that after socketing I get the map code. I socketed the ecu and hondata socket tester tested it and it is good. The other chip was already installed from the vtec/b18 mod. I soldered in the datalog pins and cut the j1. On two different cars one obd0 b16 converted to obd1 for hondata and a obd1 b18 I get a map sensor error on hondata and the sensor sits at 10.7psi.
What should I be looking for beside wiring on the cars? I am 99% positive it has something to do with the ecu but I don't know what I should be looking at in the ecu (map sensor circuits)?
I tryed hondata on a few different stock hondata supplied maps and nothing changed helped.
Let me know what you guys think! Thanks!!

Well for $50.00 Hondata would have installed it and you would have a warranty. Glad you saved the $50.00 bucks. I suggest you put it on your ECU test rig and find the problem. Should not be that hard testing inputs and outputs.

Well I like to do things myself. And it isn't about the money considering I spent 75.00 in soldering tools and 60 on a hondata socket tester.
I may just try a new p28.
