Hondata base map question
I'm not really sure how the hondata s200b works so I come to you guys for answers. I purchased a hondata s200b awhile back for my LS turbo. I then decided to go LS/vtec and sold my hondata p75 ecu with the chip (that came with the hondata s200b). My question is, is that chip the base map (the chip that goes ontop of the rom socket in the ecu) or something else? I hope the answer is, "yes it is the base map" so the only thing I'm missing would be a new base map and p28. Please let me know so I dont have to keep worrying if I just screw myself over.
Recap: I still have the blue box and wires (no chip), am I still good??

Re: Hondata base map question (Mr.DC2TurBo)
On top of the P28 VTEC ECU, you also need another 28-pin PROM chip and a new basemap burned onto that new chip that works with your new VTEC application.
You could have kept the chip you had in the previous ECU, reburned another program onto the chip, and reused the chip with the VTEC motor.

So that CHIP was the basemap right? so now I also need a 28-pin prom chip?
