Default Dumb question of the day....

I hate to ask this, but where exactly is the oil filter on a b16a (Civic SI)? I popped the hood and looked around and can't find it. I also looked under the car and didn't see it.

For those that don't know, I just acquired this car.

Check the back of the engine. If i remember correctly, you should be able to look just under the intake manifold and see it sticking off towards the rear.

its the blue thing lol

If you crawl in under your car you will be reaching over the axle/half-shaft to get to it.

haha! that's exactly the reason i didnt put my H brace on!
but to the OP, the filter is on the backside of the engine. if you plan on removing it yourself, you will have to do so from underneath a properly jacked and supported car.

No they don't.

Generally speaking the 88-00 D series, B series, H series (except for the Type SH), and F series all have the filter there, but there are plenty of them that have the filter elsewhere.
