Default Tranny question

I have a 91 hatch with b16 swap and ls tranny.

Im being told to just put in honda MTF, currently I have castro synthetic 10 30 motor oil..

The question I have is that half the time, my 5th gear doesnt engage right sometimes. Sometimes it grinds and some times it doesnt. like 50% of the time. Feels like im not pushing in the clutch all the way but I am and its only happing in the 5th gear.

I was looking at the cable on the tranny and its about half ways, the part that screws.

ANy suggestions...

Worn 5th gear blocker ring and synchro. If you shift slower does it grind?

I havent tried but can it be easily fixed? I will try and shift while not on it. It didnt grinds yesterday, I put it into gear 3 times with no grinds at all..

I agree LS trans mated to b16 is bad combo. I have honda MTF and honestly I am about to swap it out and go back to regular ol oil. I dont like how stiff my car feels shifting now. im not sure though if its the MTF or the Urethane shifter bushings though.

That's the bushings holmes.

Stick to Honda MTF or Synchromesh in the future.
