why not just throw a test pipe on it??
or if you want a cat go to the junk yard and see if they got any stock ones...

Many states do not allow the sale of used convertors, including my home state, GA.

If you live in an area that requires a convertor in order to pass state emissions than I suggest buying a new convertor. OE Honda ones from the dealership will be the BEST, but also retarded expensive. Aftermarket bolt-on convertors will be 1/3 the price of an OE one, but they don't last as long before they throw the dreaded check engine code P0420 - catalyst efficiency low, bank one.

Ask me how I know?
