hey HT,
im looking at upgrading my muffler on my 89 civic hatch with the b-series swap. right now i just have a obx ceramic 2-piece header to 2.25" straight pipe to a cheap-o TENRAI muffler. i have pretty much all the bolt on upgrades you can imagine for my engine, along with a stage 3 port/polish head with 11000RPM dual springs & retainers, viton seals, ferrea valves, new rockers, CTR cams, vision cam gears, single layer head gasket and so on (stock bottom end tho ). i was wondering what all you HT heads thought about the various universal mufflers out there & if the HKS hi power ti muffs are worth the extra 50-75 bucks? i have had no experience with any of these muffs before, nor have any of my fellow motor heads any help would be greatly appreciated and any suggestions are more than welcome oh yeah, im looking for something that already comes with a silencer!!! i know HKS make you kick down the extra 50 bucks or whatever to buy their silencer for their muffs

You have a 11000rpm dual springs and ti retainers but yet just made a thread about which titanium retainers are the best, which you only posted in this morning saying you would go with the omni powers.

Go with a Magnaflow race muffler and leave the rice behind.

 

yeah i know i just found out like 30 minutes ago from the guy that built my head that it has titanium retainers so........my bad anyways, how much do one of those magnaflows cost, and where can i get one? & what size would you recommend?

Omg just put a 3" on it and use a damn vibrant muffler. They are flat black and sound ok.

Actually scratch that...put a 1.5" on there cuz you need da backpressurez fo da whorespower

thanks, sorry im such a NOOB and dont know these things so put a 1.5" WHAT on there? piping, tip.......?

 

dont listen to these pple they are breaking your ***** get a 2.5 inch piping exhaust ... for the power .. if u want it quiet get a ws2 muffler ... mugen twin loop or twin loop replica .. and if u want it louder just get any basic muffler n1 style anything with a straight though design and big tip
