Default FD2 Type R rumored to come stateside

Was reading this article that aj96coupe found and thought I'd share it with H-T. What do you guys think of this. I really hope it does come stateside, if it does I hope that they leave it as close to Japanese Spec as possible: engine, interior, exterior, the whole lot of it

but what model... is it a hatch or 4 door... saying the chassis code indicates what model is being discussed

Yes I did, regardless, most of the people that buy this car plan on modifying it and very few would ever hit the track. I myself think it looks better than the FD2 and my main use for one if I owned it would be a daily driver.

Afterthought:Most of them would end up being slammed on 18' TE37's so who gives a ****.

IMO, by those pics I would take the FD2 interior over the FN2 interior

I doubt this will make it to stateside. I would actually consider buying one if it's 25K or under, but I doubt that as well. You're probably looking at a 30-35K price range and that is just way too much for a Civic IMO.

Put out another 10K and you can drive a 335i.

I'm sure it will .....however anyone that was interested has moved on to cars that actually showed up and could be purchased...

So why backtrack?

So the Mugen Si was what, somewhere around $30k or something stupid liek that? How much would the Type R be?

Answer: entirely too much for a civic.
