Default thinking.....Tial WG....Iron mani....no flange....?

I'm thinking of getting a Tial 35 WG and just welding a flange to my HF manifold(iron) for it.

Will this work?...I know welding to iron is a bitch, but could this work?

I need the Tial for my new engine/turbo setup, but I need to use another WG now as my stock T-25 one is crapped out.

Opinions?....

How about just getting another T25 actuator? Or is it the wastegate flapper/opening itself that is hosed?

I might have one, not to sure. I would have to check. IT is a mitsu turbo, but i believe its a td05 14g. You can have it free just pay the shipping if you want it.

I will check it out tonight when i get home, email me at B16civicsi@aol.com

I think the flange is different for the 14B wastegate. so I don't think I'm interested then.

If you could get a picture of it that would be VERY helpful!
Thanks

Hey, this will work! I just made a few up and sold them on ebay. All you have to do to get the Tial wastegate flange (stainless steel) to mig onto the iron of your hf exhaust (i used stock cx one...same thing) is heat up the iron with a blow torch just before it gets red hot. Place the Tial flange onto the manifold where you want it to be, and mig it. Like i said i made three of them, sold two on ebay and my friend is currently using one and it has held up for the past two weeks now no problems at all. As for the hole location for the Tial flange the cx manifolds have a oxygen sensor hole in the top of the manifold, i just opened that hole up a little past the size of the wastegate flange and everything works well. The wastegate sits in the middle of all the runners, may not be the best design. I am also using th t3 flange for the exhaust inlet of the turbo. I just flipped the turbo 180 degrees around from what it usually would be placed, and fabricated a new downpipe.

If I can't find a actuator for less then 20 bucks I will end up doing that.

I can't use the O2 sensor hole though, as that is for my O2 sensor!

I will drill a hole that matches the flange on one side, and then weld the flange onto that.
