Default f22b (vtec) head on F22a block

Hey, its me again. Kinda quick for the topics being a newbie huh
ANYHOW....
I was thinking to myself whether or not it would be of any benefit to experiment with a hybrid f-engine, sohc VTEC head on a non-VTEC A-block found in the 90-93 honda accords like the one I drive (its a 90 EX, auto). I probably could have checked this my damn self on one sight or another, but, Im lazy, and when someone answered, Ill get a handy email to tell me to come look
Are the torque characteristics the same on both the A-block and the B-block, or does one offer a bit more bite? Could the head tranplant be done, and if so, would it be feasible or cost effective? I figure the head and ecu of a VTEC engine would be cheaper than the whole block, and if more torque could be made without a crank swap, it would be great. Be nice now, all I have right now is bright dreams and aspiration

it has been determined that this is one of the least cost effective conversions for an accord.

Don't be too upset though. You can get an F22B1 motor with computer for around $1050. Which will give you some more power in the "top end".

I got a 95 f22b1 and ECU with 99.8K that I can sell you for $500 plus shipping (about $150-200). It had timing belt and water pump done too at 89K.

see, I love this place already...
But my prob is lack of money, space to work, and friends who know what they are doing around a car. Some jobs just requires some help that knows what they are doing, others require money... LOTS AND LOTS of money. But I'll be here, keeping in touch with you guys and saving up my cash. But its just nice to be able to make some plans ahead of time so I know what my goal is, and how hard I have to work to get there.
