Measuring CG or finding "level" ?
Does anyone know a reference that may have DC2 (or another similar honda) suspension geometry mapped out? Center of gravity distance, location?
^That's a long shot i know
But since that info has yet to cross my path, I'm wondering how anyone has measured their car when adjusting ride height. I want to find the Level point between the front and rear of the vehicle (94 Integra)
I have all the adjustments i want to make mapped out, but i need to find a starting point on how to make the car level front to rear - so i have a place to start.
I have a level floor that the car will sit on (and scales). If i use a yard-long level with the bubble - are there two points i can put it on to check how level the car is sitting? Is there a line i can string between two points on the car that are relative to each other? If i measure distance between wheel center and fender lip- should they be the same front and rear? I am going to use that measurement for ride height adjustment but I still need a place to start.
--end of my rambling....
Cliff Notes: I want to check how level my car is and wonder where i can measure on the car that will tell me. Either a point to the ground or using a bubble level.

How about the front and rear jack points? You'll need something longer than 3-feet to span them, though.
Are you sure your floor is level? My garage floor actually has about 3/4"+ of fall from front to rear.
There are some frame measurement diagrams in the Helms manual. I can't remember if CG is shown on there, though.
Oh yeah, do not go by the wheel center to fender arch measurement. The rear wheel arches are cut smaller, and the car will appear raked if you make the fender gap equal front and rear.
Also, if you're actually doing proper corner-weight adjustment, the vehicle will NOT be level while sitting at rest after all is said and done.

I have a level with a laser on it - so it can go far enough
The floor has been laser leveled and one corner is 1/16" lower and there's a shim for the scale. My car's a bit longer than the Triumph it was used for but for what i'm doing - it's damn near perfect.
CG may not be shown in helms but as long as I get the car to a level point before i start adjusting i know how far i went FROM level. (moving rear down to improve overall roll center / CG, and weight transfer)
I wont go by the fender arch - ty for the info ;-)
The leveling is only to start with after putting the car at a safe ground clearance (not over-lowered)...i'll then level it. Then from there adjust. A starting point is key. I had the car cornerweighted but i've since changed spring mounts/top hats and added a heavy rollbar
P.S. Teal integras > all

Well started cornerweighing the car last night and due to my new top hats - the rear is threaded all the way down the to perch on the tokikos :-O
I found the bodywork diagrams in the helms but I didn't see anything from it that I could really use - so i ended up using ground to jacking points as an estimate of where I was... I ended up changing things when corner weighing and i still have some more to adjust. Left to right ride height is going to be quirky to get it completely dialed in - but i guess that doesnt matter as much as balance. Anyway just an update kuz im bored.

to u.r u jus doin this fo ur car or r u doin it fo the whole dc platorm??? cuz the weight of erry car is diff. .n also u should simulate ur weight into the driver seat too!!!

yeah i sat myself in the seat with the scale module thing in my lap. so i added some 5lbs from holding it, big whoop. Got to within 3lbs at LR, 5lb RF, 13lb LF, and 4lb RR. Not too bad for just eyeballing the threads :-O
One scale maxes out at 422lbs (it's [freak]ed up) even after calibration and setting the capacity of each scale to 1k lbs.
^slammed, I searched but i swear it throws different results every time. im gonna look that up right now
ty slammed and targa.
